Light a candle, white for general cleansing or a colour suited to the specific situation. Say a prayer or set a clear intention, asking for the person”s harmful accumulations to be drawn into the egg and released.

The pass: Hold the egg in your dominant hand. Beginning at the crown of the head, move the egg slowly over the person”s body, rolling it or pressing it gently against the surface. Move from head to shoulders, down the arms, across the chest and back, down the abdomen, the hips, legs, and feet. Pay particular attention to areas the person identifies as uncomfortable or where you sense resistance. Continue speaking a prayer or cleansing intention throughout.

Breaking the egg: When the pass is complete, crack the egg into the glass of water. Allow it to settle undisturbed for a few moments before reading.

Reading the egg:

• A clear, round, intact yolk with transparent or lightly cloudy white: a generally clean result, the cleansing worked on surface-level accumulation.
• Strings or needle-like threads rising from the yolk toward the surface: strings of negative energy or spiritual ties to a difficult situation or person.
• Bubbles in the white or on the surface: a sign of envidia (envy), someone”s jealousy or covetous energy was present.
• A dark or cloudy white, blood spots, or unusual formation of the yolk: indicates a stronger condition or spiritual work underway and may prompt further cleansing or referral to a more experienced practitioner.
• A strong unpleasant smell beyond the normal scent of raw egg: sometimes interpreted as a sign of serious spiritual harm.

Disposal: The egg must be disposed of properly. Pour it down the drain, into the toilet, or take it outside and bury it or throw it in moving water. Do not leave it in your home. Wash the glass thoroughly afterward.

A method you can use

2. Fill a clear glass with clean water.
